Change through the Admin area

Change the through the PhpMyAdmin
This is the second option you can use to change WordPress admin email for your site. This method is for when you cannot access your WordPress admin area. To get started visit cPanel dashboard on the hosting account. Under the database section you will find the phpMyAdmin icon. Once the phpMyAdmin app launches, you will find your database listed on the left column.
Click on it to see the tables. Find the _options table and click to open. From there you will find the data rows in the option table. Click ‘Edit’ located next to the row where the option_name is ‘admin_email’. The phpMyAdmin will open the row in the form where you can then change the admin email for the website. Click on the ‘Go’ button thereafter to save the changes. You have successfully updated the email address for the website email notifications.
To change the email address for the admin user account, you need to open the _users table in the phpMyAdmin window. Click edit button next to the row that matches your user login that you wish to edit. The user row will be opened in a form. Enter the new email address under the user_email field. Click on ‘Go’ to save the changes.
