Installing/Logging In to Your WordPress

WordPress is a content management system specifically designed to take the tech out of technical when publishing your own website.
Installing WordPress on your site is easier than ever, especially with the use of a script installer like “Softaculous”. This script installer gives people the ability to install things like WordPress on their site, and can be found in their control panel.
• Log in to your control panel
• Locate the Softaculous icon- click there
• Once in Softaculous- on the right hand side you will see a categorized lists of installations available
• Click to expand the first one “Blogs”
• You will then see WordPress- click it
• You will then be directed to an over view of the installation
• In the top right hand corner you will see install- click it
• You are then sent to the set up page where the next step is very important
• Under Software setup- In directory- you will see the two letters “wp”. These need removed in order for the application to install correctly.
• Your next steps are to set your Site Settings, Administration Setting, and Language.
• Enter you email address you want the confirmation email sent to, which will contain how to log in.
• Finally, click install!
• And VOILA you’re done!
Now, if you are not hosting with us and do not have a script installer on your control panel here is where you should go to get your WordPress installation.
Visit http://www.wordpress.org. From there you will see the instructions on how to download and install the script on your website.
We do recommend that you host with our trusted company above, because they have already taken the steps to make it a one click install onto your website.
Logging In to WordPress-
• Your first step would be to go to your website address: http://www.example.com
• Ensure you have pop ups enabled
• At the bottom of your screen you will see ‘log in’ – click log in.
• Your first log in, when the pop up box appears is your user name and the password located in the welcome email sent to you.
• Once entered that box will go away, your next log in will be your same user name with the second password given to you in the welcome email
• This will take you to your word press control panel
Please keep in mind that we have enabled a two log in process to protect your website. Having these security precautions in place help prevent hackers and other security risks: additionally, if your log in fails more than twice, please call customer service. We have implemented a three attempt log in, which means if you attempt more than three times, you IP address will be blocked.
Once logged in you can now begin adding content, creating posts, and pages!
