Using WordPress Themes

WordPress themes provide you a way to have complete control over the look, and presentation of your information on your web site. Web Design has been made so simple with the help of WordPress. Themes offer you “templated sites” that offer you tons of tools to effectively, and without a headache, get your website up. All you have to do is fill in the information.

To download Themes directly to your blog by using the Add New Themes option in the

• Appearance > Add New Themes
• Click install Themes
• Locate the Theme you would like to use
• Click preview to see it prior to installing to make sure you want that one
• Click install theme

Now that you have uploaded the theme you want, it’s time to activate it on your site:

• Appearance > Themes >available themes
• Click on the theme title or theme snap shot that you wish to activate
• A preview will be shown
• Click the Activate Theme Name in top right
• VOILA!! You’re done!

A few things for you to remember:

• You can switch between themes using the Admin Panel
• Themes you add will be located in Administration Panel > Design > Themes
• When you try to activate a theme and the preview is blank, do not click activate theme prior to investigating more. There should always be a preview available if everything is going right.
• Use a theme that is favorable to what your website is about. If you are offering Cleaning Services in San Diego, use a bright sunny theme!
