WordPress Commenting Etiquette

WordPress Commenting Etiquette

There are some general “rules” in blogging and Web Design world. Well I don’t know if they are actually rules, but unless you want your blog “black listed,” so to speak by other bloggers, then it is a good time to think about your etiquette!

1. Be specific, be honest, and always articulate yourself clearly. You don’t need to write a book for a comment, but a clear idea of what you are trying to say is what we suggest! Avoid vague comments like “awesome” or “thanks for sharing”.

2. Never link to your blog in your comments. Besides it is kinda redundant because once you make a comment anyone will be able to see your profile and be able to go to it if they so choice.

3. Stay on topic: There is nothing more frustrating than to blog about the weather and have it turn into something that is completely off what you posted a discussion about.

4. Link Sharing- It is perfectly acceptable to post relevant links, however just please post the relevance.

5. Be Nice, it doesn’t matter if you agree on things or not. Being nice is okay.

6. Keep it Brief: The more short and concise you are, the better off you will be

7. And last but not least, Have FUN!
