Smileys, otherwise known as Emoticons
See, by default WordPress automatically translates the correct combination of punctuation marks and turns them into “Smileys”. For instance to get this Smiley , you would type the : ) without the space. Or if you wanted to get this Smiley you would type : ( without the spaces.
The next great thing is there are thousands of Smileys, and a quick Google search reveals them all to you.
So by default if you type the correct combination you will get your animated smileys. Below is a list you can use just in case you decide to spruce up the happy on your blog posts!

To Disable Smileys follow these quick steps:
1. Admin Panel
2. Select Settings -> Writing
3. In the Formatting section, uncheck the box for “Convert emoticons like and to graphics on display”
